Tour itineraries can be adjusted to meet your own particular needs and budget – to help you with your future planning, I’ve included three examples here below:

 

TOUR 1:

Pienza 3.jpg (28880 byte)Day 1:  Visit the Abbey of Sant Antimo and then on to Pienza where we’ll visit the historic center followed by lunch.  From here move on to explore Montepulciano and in the evening return to your accommodation in Montalcino.

 

Capitani view 3.JPG (30988 byte)Day 2:  We commence by visiting a Brunello di Montalcino producer and include a cellar visit, tasting and lunch at the vineyard.  In the afternoon visit the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, return to Montalcino, visit and free time in the village.

 

Sangimignano 5.jpg (23180 byte)Day 3:  In the morning a local professional guide will escort your visit in Siena followed by lunch in the Piazza del Campo.  Move on to San Gimignano for a second professional local guided visit of the historical center and in the evening return to your accommodation in Montalcino.

Florence Ponte Vecchio.jpg (130351 byte)Day 4:  Travel to Florence to view some of the most important monuments of this fabulous city including the Uffizi Gallery.  In the afternoon move on to Levane near Montevarchi where you’ll find the major names of Italian fashion; Prada, Gucci, Armani, Sergio Rossi, etc. and in the evening return to your accommodation in Montalcino.

Day 5:  A day visiting Assisi and Perugia with professional local guides and in the evening return to your accommodation in Montalcino.

Day 6:  On your final day we’ll visit Rome and include the highlights, monuments of Italy’s capital city followed by your return to Montalcino or transfer to your point of departure (airport/railway station Rome)

 

TOUR 2:

Capitani ext 2.JPG (15809 byte)Day 1:  We commence by visiting this historic center of Montalcino followed by a vineyard visit and include a cellar visit, Brunello di Montalcino tasting and lunch.  In the afternoon travel to the Abbey of Sant Antimo and then on to Pienza.  In the evening return to your Hotel dei Capitani in Montalcino.

Florence1.jpg (128228 byte)Day 2:  In the morning a local professional guide will escort your visit in Siena followed by lunch.  Move on to San Gimignano for a second professional local guided visit of the historical center.  In the evening transfer to your hotel in Florence.

Day 3:  This morning travel to Levane near Montevarchi for a little shopping where you’ll find the major names of Italian fashion; Prada, Gucci, Armani, Sergio Rossi, etc.   In the afternoon visit one of the most famous producers of Chianti Classico and their cellars and in the evening return to your hotel in Florence.

San Marco.jpg (30183 byte)Day 5:  A professionally guided visit to Venice during the morning, lunch and free time to shop. In the afternoon visit the island of Murano for an exhibition of glass blowing and in the evening return to your hotel at Mira.

Verona 1.jpg (22261 byte)Day 6:  A morning visit to Verona, its historic center and fabulous monuments and shopping.  In the afternoon travel to the thermal springs village of Sirmione on the shores of Lake Garda.  Return to your hotel at Mira in the evening.

Day 7:  Transfer to your point of departure city (airport/railway station)

 

TOUR 3:

Orvieto duomo.jpg (69088 byte)Day 1:  Depart Rome and during the morning visit Orvieto, its magnificent Duomo and the amazing well, the Pozzo di San Patrizio.  After lunch in Orvieto we continue our Umbrian visit by traveling to Todi and in the evening arrive at Montalcino.

 

Montepulciano 1.jpg (24690 byte)Day 2:  Your morning will include a visit to Montepulciano and Pienza and in the afternoon we return to Montalcino where you’ll visit a Brunello di Montalcino producer’s cellars or a honey producer.  In the evening we’ll move to the Abbey of Sant Antimo and arrive in time to experience the Gregorian Chant by the Friars of the Abbey.  Return to your accommodation in Montalcino in the late evening.

 

Day 3:  A day visiting Umbria; Assisi the birthplace of San Francesco and Perugia both with professional local guides and in the evening return to your accommodation in Montalcino.

Venere.jpg (37161 byte)Day 5:  We leave Montalcino this morning and on route visit Volterra noted for its Alabaster artisans.  From here move on to Pisa to visit the Piazza dei Miracoli and its famous Leaning Tower.  In the early evening travel to the Cinque Terre with dinner at your hotel.

Day 7:  Transfer to your point of departure city (airport/railway station)
